Daily Notes
I had a wonderful sleep last night! I’m not sure if it was because I don’t have to get up and drive miles and miles today, or because I had a wonderful bed that has been firmer than the other beds I’ve slept on the last few days, or the fact that the air is fresher, or the fact that we have finally reached our final destination! At any rate, I slept, went to the bathroom, and “Rinse & Repeat” until late into the morning.
Our toilet is overflowing, so the owner brought over some Draino. On a positive note, the internet is working now. It was not last night. By the way, we need to get more Draino.
We decided that our first breakfast in Courtenay was going to be a great one, so we went to the “Black Creek Cafe”. Our son didn’t come with us on our last trip to Courtenay a couple of months ago, so this was the first time he got a chance to experience it! The old lady was not here like last time. Our son had the pancakes, our daughter had just toast, my wife had the meal with Hollandaise Sauce, and I had the steak and eggs. Our son enjoyed making a “Spinning Top” game out of the milk container top, so I ordered the chocolate and strawberry flavors as well. Now he has tops of three different colors.
After arriving home, my wife and daughter took the van “Thrifting”. Our son played online games with Ethan and Brin, and I updated this blog and took a nap. I had such a great nap & meditation that I had a hard time getting up. I spent quite a bit of time visualizing “Winning The Lottery”.
When I woke up my wife and daughter were home. They bought me some of the “Vachon Cakes” (see photo to the right) that I requested.
This afternoon our son was outside jumping on the trampoline with the girl next door. They then went to visit the goats. He was outside playing for 3+ hours before coming home! It was so great to see him outside enjoying play time rather than inside on a “Screen”.
Our toilet is still clogged! The Draino we put down it is sure taking it’s sweet time to work. Since the toilet is not working now, my daughter and I drove to the Tim Horton’s next to Home Depot to use their “facilities”. The plan was to swing back and get mom, but I thought of taking a few minutes to go to Home Depot and get a “Snake”. When I returned, the hot water my wife put into the toilet did it’s job…without the “Snake”. We’re back in business!
Our son really LOVED the Vachon “Carmel Cakes” that our daughter picked up at the “Great Canadian Superstore” this afternoon.
