Daily Notes
I’m really out of the “Daily LoA” exercises that I have outlined for myself. The kids and I were playing with the Nerf basketball this morning and I accidentally broke a glass. Is this “out of alignment” the reason for this? Esther Hicks has mentioned in some of her videos the concept of getting out of the wrong side of the bed. Maybe if I had done my “Morning Work” this would not have happened.
The kids and I started to watch “The Matrix” on the television in the living room this morning. Both kids kept asking me about this and that I had to tell them to just watch the movie, as it would explain itself to them. We got half way before they wanted to take a break. I see that “Top Gun Maverick” is leaving Netflix soon, so I started to watch the original “Top Gun” on Netflix, with the idea that I would move onto it once the original was done. I have till the end of June.
I seem to sleep and sleep and sleep these days. Could the cool fresh air of Courtenay be the reason for this? I had a nap this afternoon but have noticed that I’ve been having problems quieting my mind. I hope this will resolve itself once we get settled into our new home.
This afternoon the kids from next door when outside so Bobby joined them on the trampoline and their slide contraption in one of the pastures. It warmed our hearts that he left Ethan online to go and play with them. This gives us some hope that he wants to actually do physical things rather than just play online all day.
Katie and I went for a drive this evening. He drove to our new house to take a look. Yes, it’s ours now, the mortgage went through today! We ended up taking the drive down Willis Way and towards the coast. We saw a deer and some rabbits. This surely is a place full of wildlife. The deer didn’t seem scared of us in the least (see photo to the left). It munched and grazed even when we drove back to see it.
Katie and I ended up at Thrifty Foods on Ryan Road. I bought some OJ for mom, and picked up some Twizzlers for the kids. I also purchased some liver and a goat cheese flatbread. When I got home I proceeded to cook them while my wife loaded the van for tomorrow’s trip to our new home.
