I didn’t get any morning work done today. I was eager to get on the road and see if the Ninja Blender I saw online was indeed on sale. It was, and I picked it up. I’m going to be using it a lot once I’m done eating potatoes… 🙂

2024-08-01 - Corn

I didn’t eat anything today… NOTHING! No potatoes! Not even a cup of coffee! I did have some water, but I just wasn’t hungry. Here it is 11:17 pm on Thursday evening, and I’m starting to get hungry. I’m looking forward to the clock going past midnight! According to Penn Jillette and his book “Presto”, I can have some corn, and I picked some up at Walmart today (see photo to the right), and as the clock approaches midnight, I have it in the pressure cooker! I also have some potatoes on my recently purchased racks, ready to pop into the “air fryer”.

While at Walmart I also picked up some glass storage containers of various shapes and types, some tongs, a “red” knife, and lots of spices! I’ve been reading into the Dr. Furhman Nutritarian Diet and I think it is going to be a mainstay of my life moving forward. He encourages you to have a HUGE salad for at least one meal, and that is fine with me!

I watched quite a bit of “Escape From the Planet of the Apes” this afternoon. It’s amazing how the budget drops affected the “apes” movies in the 70’s. For example, they were able to retrieve and repair Taylor’s spaceship. How? In their huts? A lot of winks at some of the plot points in this movie… Having said that, it’s nostalgic for me and quite fun to watch nonetheless!
