Day #0041 – (Sun., Oct. 8, 2023) – Panera Bread “Sip Club”

Good Sunday Morning everyone! Here are my “10 Morning Blessings” for today (with help from the ‘14,000 Things to Be Happy About” book):

  1. I am so happy and grateful for a newly refinished gym floor. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  2. I am so happy and grateful for the inexpensive activity of touring model homes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  3. I am so happy and grateful for budo, the spiritual foundation of martial arts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  4. I am so happy and grateful for a Sabbatical year (although I have never had one). Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  5. I am so happy and grateful for a whiff of vanilla! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  6. I am so happy and grateful for the buzz of a bee. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  7. I am so happy and grateful for writing down 10 things that I appreciate each day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  8. I am so happy and grateful for drone aerial views. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  9. I am so happy and grateful for old fashioned sock monkey dolls. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  10. I am so happy and grateful for Viennese coffee, ground each morning, filtered into a thermos, and garnished with a cinnamon stick (I need to try this). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

And thank you for the good news that is coming to me today!

Today’s “Act of Kindness”: The cashier at Panera Bread was very helpful today in setting up my “Sip Club” membership, so I was thinking of saying nice things to her boss, but it didn’t seem that she was around today. So, instead, I sent a “thank you” email to: Julie Culver, third grade teacher at River Oaks Elementary School in Houston Texas.

Today’s “Main Blessing”: I joined the Panera Bread “Sip Club”!

This morning I created an “air conditioner” video with an intro by Abraham Hicks on how to meditate, followed by 30 minutes of an “air conditioner”, which is an object Abraham Hicks recommends you focus on when you meditate. Why? It is interesting enough to engage your focus, but not so interesting that your mind will wander.

I finally joined the Panera Bread “Sip Club” today, but it was quite the ordeal! I needed to do the app for this, but sign in via that, and “yadda yadda yadda”.  Alas, in the end, success!  Joining this club means that I will get all the coffees, teas, and soft drinks that I want at Panera Bread, for 4 months, for only $5 plus tax each month! I thought that I would try an iced coffee this afternoon. They were out of Splenda, so I had two regular sugars. I was able to get the nice cozy table in the corner as well (see photo to the right).

As part of “The Magic” Kindle book, there is a preview of “The Power”, which is another Kindle book by the same author, Rhonda Byrne. Here are a few interesting quotes from the preview on page #256:

“Love is the positive force of life! Everything that you want to be, do, or have comes from love. Every day, in every moment, you make the choice whether to love and harness the positive force – or not. The law of attraction is the law of love, and it is the law that is operating in your life. Life doesn’t happen to you; you receive everything in your life based on what you’ve given. People who have great lives think and talk about what they love more than what they don’t love! Love, because when you love you are using the greatest power in the Universe”.
