Daily Notes
I went to Panera Bread for a coffee this morning. I sat in one of the booths and listened to this particular video of Angel Morrison, a Lottery Winner from Rocky Mount. I thought this was North Carolina, but I’m thinking it’s New Jersey. I also read a bit of my Kindle version of Joe Weider’s “Self-Defense Course”. Sure brings back memories…
I’m trying to determine a good way to lose weight and am looking at Tim Ferriss’s diet right now. He advocates a plate with 3 portions in it, protein, beans, and veggies. He also advocates a “free day”. Will this work for me? Perhaps! I’m thinking of creating a page on my website that deals with diet/exercise goals. It will breakdown my diet and why I’m eating what. As such it will start off with Dr. Sinclair’s ideas (as want to primarily live long) and work on down to things like calorie counting and Ferris’s foods.
I thought I would drop off at Food Lion to see what kind of vegetable soups they had, and happened to see a rock as soon as I got out of the car (see photo to the right). Is this a “Gratitude Rock”? Nothing seemed to be around it. I put it in my pocket just in case.
I had a bit of “Musical Quarters” (for lack of a better word) at Aldi today. For starters, I was not going to get a cart, so I carried my two bags with me, but decided to get on in the end. Just before I put my quarter in the slot to get a cart, a woman with a baby in the small section of the cart approached me and asked if I would like her cart. I offered her my quarter, but she said that she didn’t need a quarter as someone gave the cart to her, so off I went. After shopping, as I was about to put my cart away, a lady approached me and asked if she could take my cart, so I let her and took her quarter. Was all this inspired action? Not sure, as the coin I eventually got didn’t have a “KWF” on it (see photo to the left), but I did get a “free” quarter out of the exchange in the end.
As I watched the Chiefs beat the Dolphins on my computer via Peacock this evening, I was marveling at some of the latest videos I have put up on my LoA Codes YouTube channel. I’m particular, I’m experimenting with thumbnails, and these three videos, although the same, are starting to take off. This one, (with 59 views so far), shows a scene from the video as the thumbnail. This one, (with 183 views so far), shows a Canva created thumbnail of a guy excited about the video. This third video, (with 214 views so far), shows a mostly text-based thumbnail also created via Canva.
