Welcome to Day #3 of “The Magic”, which is “Magic Relationships”. I made my list of the 10 things I am grateful for first thing this morning, and you can read about them in “My Daily Journal”.
In the back of my mind, I would get some clarity during my sleep last night on where that $143,000,000 number came from, but it was not to be. As such, I will just move forward as if and see what happens.
Today’s lesson revolves around a picture of three relationships you have in your life, and I thought I would use my wife, my daughter, and my son.
I went to the parking lot at the corner of Rosemary Street and MLK this afternoon (see photo to the left) to go over today’s lesson, but when I realized I had no internet connection there I moved to the parking lot at Panera Bread. I just stayed in the car and saved $3 on a cup of coffee as it was late afternoon, and I was not going to be there for a long time like I was the other day and get multiple refills of coffee as a result.
Relationship #1: Laura. Here are the five things I am grateful for. #1) Thank you, Laura, for encouraging me to pursue “The Magic”. #2) Thank you, Laura, for taking our kids to viola/violin lessons and encouraging them to practice. #3) Thank you, Laura, for taking care of me during my knee operations. #4) Thank you, Laura, for setting up medical appointments for me. #5) Thank you, Laura, for cleaning up the house.
Relationship #2: Katie. Here are the five things I am grateful for. #1) Thank you, Katie, for being someone I can talk to when I think nobody else understands me. #2) Thank you, Katie, for pressing on and going to school despite the fact you hate it. #3) Thank you, Katie, for showing me your artwork and giving me a glimpse of what might have been possible for me. #4) Thank you, Katie, for being such a great older sister to Bobby. #5) Thank you, Katie, for eating healthier these days as it inspires me to do the same.
Relationship #3: Bobby. Here are the five things I am grateful for. #1) Thank you, Bobby, for pursuing martial arts and helping me relive a bit of my life that might have been. #2) Thank you, Bobby, for not being so fussy about the house we will be purchasing in Courtenay. #3) Thank you, Bobby, for being open to trying new foods such as homemade pizza. #4) Thank you, Bobby, for staying away from boys who would be a bad influence on you. #5) Thank you, Bobby, for being a good student and fast learner on many subjects.
I made some Minestrone Soup in the Instant Pot today (see photo to the right). It was delicious and hopefully just what I need to help me live to be over 100 years old. I am not sure what gives it that distinctive taste, but could it be that the basil and the oregano interact with the kale? At any rate, it sure was tasty and it is going to be an integral part of my diet moving forward I believe. I also made some bread in the air fryer, and together they made a great combination and a tasty meal.
After consuming the soup, I was tired and went to bed. I made sure to touch my Magic Rock and say what I was thankful for today before nodding off to sleep. You can see what I was thankful for in “My Daily Journal”.
See you tomorrow!
