2023-10-29 - Minestrone Soup

Day #0062 – (Sun., Oct. 29, 2023) – Dieting AM Meditation

It’s Sunday! Let’s start today off with item #1 on my “ToDo List”:

  1. Create my “10 Morning Blessings / Gratitude List” immediately upon rising.
    • #1) I am so happy and grateful for escaping from civilization. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
    • #2) I am so happy and grateful for singing to the radio when you drive. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    • And thank you for good news that is coming to me today!
  2. Daily Mediation #1 (of 3 total) (with my “air conditioner” background video). For my morning meditation today, I didn’t use my iPhone (battery was low). I asked “The Source” for directions on what to do next…
  3. Go through “Dream List” (Add/Remove/Update). I quickly went through my “Spirituality” PDF.
  4. Create & Update “Vision Board”. I got ingredients and made some minestrone soup, a key to getting to live to be 100 years old!
  5. Daily Mediation #2 (with my “air conditioner” background video). Meditated with my “air conditioner” background asking for next steps. Thought was to have daily AM meditation on what I am doing now that works to help motivate me.
  6. Daily Mediation #3 (with my “air conditioner” background video). Meditate on finding the “Coin With KWF”, as a first step to visualizing $$$. Nope, not today.
  7. Before going to bed, do or record my “Act of Kindness”: I was really nice to the cashier at Harris Teeter this evening.
  8. Before going to bed, clutch my “Gratitude Rock” and record my “Main Blessing” for today: Finding out about invidio, an AI video generating and editing tool.
  9. Blessing my food before I eat it: Nope, not today.
  10. Panera Bread coffee (optional). Yes, and today I picked up a “Strawberry Lemon Mint” drink.
2023-10-29 - Minestrone Soup

As I was having my mid-day meditation the thought that came to my mind was that I need to focus on what I am doing now to lose weight and keep those principles in my mind. For example, intermittent fasting is a way to lose weight, so that along with the other steps will help me lose weight, right? If I keep this in mind, I will not get discouraged and go off track, or at least that is the thought.

I decided that I would get back to eating minestrone soup. I saw on a Netflix series that a lot of people who are living over 100 years old have minestrone soup as one of their keys, so I figure I’ll incorporate it into my diet as well. It also happens to be relatively low fat, so that’s another positive aspect of it.

I dropped off at Panera Bread for a “Strawberry Lemon Mint” drink on the way to Harris Teeter on the drive to Pittsboro. I usually don’t get this drink because it contains quite a few calories, but I thought that I would treat myself today.

The thought of getting a “Pick 3” ticket came to mind, so I decided to get one at Harris Teeter (see photo to the left). Was this “The Source” talking to me, or just another “Red Herring”. Well, it appears that it was the latter as the ticket didn’t win anything in this evening’s draw. I even chose the “Any” option on the ticket to increase my chances of winning.

When I got home, I proceeded to put all the ingredients for the minestrone soup into my Instant Pot (see photo to the right). The Instant Pot is such a great device! It will make delicious meals in minutes, and you can pretty well just set it and forget it.
