Daily Notes
My son is home sick again today, so I didn’t have to drop him off at school this morning, but I did pop on by Panera Bread later in the day for my morning coffee. While there I sat down in one of the booths and did some reading.
- For starters, I read “Wrestling Around the World” in Lesson #2 of the Joe Weider Self-Defense course (see photo to the right).
- “Process #18: Find the Feeling Place” in “Ask & It Is Given”.
- Pages #104 to 110 in Presto
- Video #2 “Potato Only Diet Challenge Day 2 of 366 – what I ate today” on the SpudFit YouTube channel.
Even though I watching the “SpudFit” videos, and reading “Presto”, I’m not following either of these routines exactly as outlined. I am however, eating a lot of potatoes, with a few veggies and seasonings and “no oil” sauces.
I thought that I would take a few moments to explain how our new house in Courtenay (see photo to the right) is an answer to the “Law of Attraction”.
It has pretty much everything that I have been asking for, in fact, it has a few things that I had wanted but forgot about. For example:
- A barn, if I/we should choose to raise goats or chickens one day. It’s not too large of a barn or yard that we cannot maintain it without any animals but does provide us with this option if we so choose to have a hobby farm.
- It has land, 1.35 acres.
- I was wanting a rancher, and my daughter a house with an upper floor. With my bedroom on the lower floor I don’t need to go upstairs, so it is pretty much a rancher. My daughter has her bedroom on the 2nd floor, so she has her desire as well.
- My wife wanted a view of the mountains, and you can see them from her bedroom.
- It is close to downtown, so this will save time traveling and gas as well.
- My daughter will go to the largest high school in the area, so more courses are available to her. My son will go to the smaller elementary school down the road so he can ride his bike to school if he wants.
- No “grow up” issues.
- No need to get a contractor to put another bedroom on the house, or make repairs. You can move in “as is”.
- No issues with subdividing the lot.
- There are buildings for a workshop.
- There are trees for a swing for my daughter.
Pretty much the only thing we wanted, but don’t have in this house, is a black tile bathroom attached to my daughter’s bedroom with a walk-in closet. I asked my daughter about these, and she is happy about it as it will give her something to look forward to. She is just so excited about the vaulted ceilings and the large size of her bedroom she doesn’t think about it.
