Daily Notes
I was planning on going to Tim Hortons for coffee this morning instead of making my own breakfast in the “Suite Above The Barn”. The customer line was almost out to the door, so I went to another location, Brown’s Socialhouse. This was down the road from the hotel we stayed on our first vacation to Courtenay, so I was eager to try it. Not too impressed. I had a mini plate of nachos, which weren’t cheap, so I probably won’t be back.
I went to Walmart this afternoon where I picked up a Ninja air fryer for the “Suite In The Barn”. I investigated Amazon, COSTCO, and other outlets, and Walmart definitely had the best price. Only $99 for a small, but the larger one was on sale for only $119, so I picked up that one instead. I also picked up some OJ, dishwasher cubes, and baking soda for my wife, and some peach jujubes for the kids.
While at Walmart I picked up some dry kidney beans and macaroni. I saw on a YouTube video that this guy was raving about his mixture for his chickens. I plan to give it a try!
On the drive home I stopped off at Tim Horton’s and checked out my Montana Powerball ticket (see photo to the left). Alas, not a winner!
The IKEA dining room table and chairs are assembled now! You can see them in the photo to the left. We had dinner on it tonight. My wife heated up the roast chicken that we got at COSTCO last night, and we had some of the salad that I picked up at the “Great Canadian Superstore” a few days ago. While we ate we talked about our trip to Disney, and watched some of the videos that I made while there.
I put up the video “Feeling Stuck? How Abraham Hicks “Going General” Can Boost Your Joy!” on my YouTube channel today.
My wife and son went out for a walk and “Scooter Ride” this afternoon and met Tara, our neighbor, and her granddaughter. They also saw a garter snake!
As of this evening the kidney beans are soaking in the Instant Pot. Tomorrow I will cook them up with the macaroni and see if the chickens like it! I will be sure to call the kids over before I feed them as they are curious if they will like it or not.
