Daily Notes
I called up Innova Doors, just down the road from where we live, and Ingrid came over to see our current gate setup and provide us with a quote. She said that there was a lot involved, including getting a new gate, a solar panel, and digging up the pavement. She quoted $7,980.00, and that didn’t include the cost of us getting an electrician for the electrical work! We’re going to shop around.
My wife showed me the new couch that we got from “The Brick”. Unfortunately there is a stain on it. When we talked to customer service they offered $100 off, but when we said we wanted a new couch, they said it would be delivered in August. We can use the current couch till the new one comes.
My wife almost met a bear when she was out walking Maple! She talked to someone who said that there was a bear sitting on the trail that she had just walked on. No warning barks or yelps from Maple!
I took my son out for a Daddy/Son Chat day this afternoon. He wanted to go to A&W (see photo to the right), and I think we saw Callum on a scooter during the drive. Through my rear view mirror I think I saw him go into the pharmacist’s house. My son got a teen burger and a medium hot chocolate. I got a papa burger, and I must say that it was delicious.
We drove back home via Huband, but this time from the other direction than we normally take! We also stopped off at Crown Isle where we saw an interesting “tree sculpture” that looked like a wolf howling (see photo to the left).
My wife found some of the missing boxes from our move in the shed today. No sign of the “Go Pro Camera” though… I wonder if it is under the van seats?
This afternoon I did some more mowing. This time my son and I mowed the small section of grass near the “Old Shed”, near the “Barn Suite”. If you do just a little bit each day it doesn’t get overwhelming.
This evening I organized some of the manuals for the various items we have purchased the past few weeks. Items like the mower, the shredder, and the Ninja air fryer.
