Daily Notes

I have no more lottery tickets to examine! I finished up the last one I purchased on our trip to Courtenay yesterday. No big winners, so I’m not sure what “almost winning” those two Pick 3 tickets in Chapel Hill all are about, but perhaps I will learn why over time…

2024-07-05 - Pencils

Our son has been asking for colored pencils, and I just happened to have a huge set in one of the boxes that we brought from Chapel Hill (see photo to the left).

We went to Wayfair Insurance this afternoon to get insurance and BC license plates for the van. Next up was Quality Foods next door to get some coffee for the new coffee machine that I purchased yesterday. I selected some Salt Spring “Grand Heron” coffee beans, and some ground Tim Horton’s original.

We then drove across the bridge to visit “Scrapbook Central“, where our daughter got a new sketch book, and some “refillable” markers. I waited in the van while my wife and daughter went inside. They said that if Arnesa ever went into this store she would never leave!

Next on the agenda was visiting LazyBoy. They have a sale on recliners and the salesman showed us around and even introduced us to the designer. Pretty nice models, but pretty expensive as well…even with the sale price. The question remains is it worth the price to pay for the name “LazyBoy”? I see that Amazon has a number of recliners that are much cheaper, and offer free delivery to our door as well. Lots to consider before we actually lay out the cash…

For the final stop today we went to “Blue Toque Sports” to get our daughter a new “second hand” bike for $89 (see photo to the left). She also picked up a helmet, that was practically new with all the tags on it and everything. When we got home I had to lower the seat a bit for her. I also increased the height on the bike that our daughter has been using up till now for my wife to use. Now I’m the only one without a bike… 🙂

I tried out my new coffee machine this evening for the first time with the Tim Horton’s ground coffee that I picked up at Thrifty’s Foods this afternoon. Works like a charm!

So far, since it’s creation, my “Law of Attraction” YouTube channel has gained 1040 subscribers and has earned $46.02!
