This afternoon I went back and watched the video I did on Neil Trotter and how he won the lottery.

2025-08-06 - Griddler

This evening I finally got a chance to put the “Griddler” (see photo to the right) and the “Ninja Blender” through their paces.

For the “Griddler” I sliced a potato real thin, chip wise, and put it in the Griddler for 5 minutes at sear and then 10 minutes at high. I also added some chili pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to the top of the chips before closing the lid. They came out remarkably well. They weren’t really crunchy like potato chips are, but I think if I cut them a bit thinner they would be. Dip them in some homemade ketchup and it had a nice evening snack!

For the “Ninja Blender” I thought I would try to make some “Tofu Cream Cheese”. Along with the tofu I added some lemon juice and nutritional yeast and spices in the food processing attachment. I’m still experimenting with this device as it has a lot more options than the “Griddler”. I used the metal blades, and the dough setting, and it came out like little chunks of tofu. I then thought I would add some fruit to it and added about 10 cherries and then processed them again. It’s still a bit “chunkie”, but spreadable. I put the whole mixture in a glass container and then put it in the fridge. I will have some tomorrow with my air fryer oatmeal cookies.

Oh, and I made some brown rice in the Instant Pot as well. I added some oat milk and PB2 to it and it was delish! I’m planning on freezing the extra rice so that it will be ready for any other dishes I might need it for.
