This afternoon I drove out to Best Buy to pick up a new keyboard for my son, who inherited the laptop that his big sister was using. I decided to stop off at the lotto booth outside of Walmart where I picked up the winning ticket I purchased yesterday. The lady who sold me the ticket was there today and told me that she once won a thousand dollars on the lottery at a time when she really needed it. We talked a bit about the “Law of Attraction” and she said that she believes in it, but she doesn’t really buy tickets or gamble. I thought the ticket that I bought from her yesterday was worth $20, but she was right, it was a $21 winning ticket!
As she handed me the $21 I had to just buy a couple more tickets from her, right? I mean, it’s only right… So, I purchased another Blackjack “Scratch & Win” for $2, and a Gold Rush “Scratch & Win” for $1. As I was in the van in the Walmart Parking lot I did my “17 Second Routine” and was mindful of “Being Grateful”… And… Low and Behold… BOTH TICKETS WON! (see photo to the right). This time $2 on the Blackjack ticket and $2 on the Gold Rush ticket!
I had to think about this some more, so I took a right out of the Walmart parking lot and headed to Royston. I ended up at Buckley Bay and the “General Stores And Markets” store next to the Denman Island ferry that we stopped off at when we first arrived in Courtenay to take possession of our new home. Well, I thought I might try to “continue” my winning streak… 🙂 They didn’t have a Blackjack “Scratch & Win” ticket, but I did get a Gold Rush “Scratch & Win” ticket. I went through my new routine of the “17 Second Rule” and “Being Grateful”, but this time I didn’t win (see photo to the left)! Did I press my luck? Perhaps. Maybe that lotto booth outside Walmart is lucky?
The Donald Trump and Kamala Harris debate was on tv tonight. Trump mentioned that illegals are coming into the US and eating the dogs and cats. Many people are saying that he lost the debate big time!
