The AI Movie Generator’s are getting better these days, but not totally there. I created a tiny AI movie about a pickle who learns Kung Fu this morning (see photo to the left).
I also spent quite a bit of time early this morning coming up with some ideas about using Copilot to generate a script for YouTube Shorts for me. Here’s a sample Copilot prompt I developed: “Generate a script for a YouTube video short of under one minute, with scene numbers, with only a narrator speaking, in the style of Quentin Tarrantino, with a Quentin Tarrantino plot twist at the end, about an imaginary animal that learns a valuable lesson the hard way about the ‘How long does it take for the law of attraction to work’.” I could then illustrate it with: “Create an image in the style of popart for scene #2”. Here’s a video that shows how to use Shotcut to zoom and and out of images.
I went out for a drive this evening and ended up at Thrifty Foods for some groceries. I dropped off the Blackjack ticket I picked up at Coop yesterday, and sure enough, it was a $10 winner! I bought another Blackjack “Scratch & Win” and a Gold Rush “Scratch & Win” and pocketed the extra $7 in change. Alas, no winners this time (see photo to the right).
I picked up some spaghetti at Thrifty Foods and made it in the Instant Pot this evening. I think I will soak the spaghetti first and remove the extra starch from it next time. It clumped together a bit, but it was good nonetheless. I added some diced tomatoes and used “Nutritional Yeast” instead of “Parmesan Cheese”.

In looking back through the archives, exactly one year ago today I found that quarter as I exited the van at Spence’s Farm! How encouraged I felt after that! The “Loonie” that I found as I exited the van the other day gave me that same sense of excitement. Now to figure out how to do this more consistently!
