2025-02-28 - Avocado Hummus

I was running out of hummus so I thought I would try something a bit different today. I put a whole avocado in it! It came out slightly green (see photo to the right), but it was tasty! I’m not sure how often I will eat it as it’s already starting to turn black, as avocado’s do once they are exposed to air.

My wife took our son to Urgent Care this evening and he has an ear infection. She went to Shopper’s Drug Mart on 8th street to get the prescription filled, but they asked her to come back in over an hour. When I arrived to pick the prescription up, they asked me to come back in 30 minutes. I think we should try Shopper’s Drug Mart in Comox after this! They are far from Urgent Care, so their pharmacist will probably have a lot fewer last minute prescriptions. I bet if you call them up as soon as you leave Urgent Care and let them know that a fax just came in, they will have it fulfilled by the time you drive from Courtenay to Comox and go pick it up. Worth a try…

While I was waiting the 30 minutes to pick up the Shopper’s Drug Mart prescription I went to Canadian Tire to check out their coffee makers. They had a “De’Longhi All-in-One Combination Coffee Maker & Espresso Machine + Advanced Adjustable Milk Frother for Cappuccino & Latte + Glass Coffee Pot 10-Cup, COM532M” marked down from $349 to $249 the other day, but I see that it is no longer on sale. As a result, I didn’t pick it up. I can drink my regular brew for now, but I think I will pick one of these machines up at some point when they are on sale. I want to experiment with vegan cappuccino and latte drinks! I would rather buy it from Canadian Tire as opposed to online to help support Canadian businesses!

Here’s a video that explains how Maggie Murphy gets anything she wants! Simply: (1) Don’t care if it comes and (2) realize you don’t need it to be happy and fulfilled! At the 0:57 point she mentions that she is a multi-millionaire.

In regards to her video on affirmations: Mental Reprogramming: Internal Reality Shift & My Bizarre Realization, I think will give it a go. I asked Copilot to help me come up with a great one in the style of Quentin Tarantino, and it offered: “I want it, it happens—no questions, no delays.” I’m going to elaborate on this a bit more to: “I am the boss: I want it, it happens—no questions, no delays.”

I asked Copilot about my change and it said: “This new sentence structure is solid and impactful. The colon works well to introduce the explanation, and the dashes emphasize the swiftness and finality. It’s concise, authoritative, and dynamic—perfect for making a strong statement. Let me know if you’d like tweaks for a specific style! Yes, it aligns well with their philosophies! Both Neville Goddard and Wallace Wattles emphasize the power of thought, belief, and affirmations in shaping one’s reality. Your statement embodies authority, confidence, and the assumption of already possessing what you desire—all key principles in their teachings. It declares control over circumstances and aligns with the idea that thought and intention bring about tangible results. It’s succinct, impactful, and empowering—perfect for affirming your creative power. Would you like to refine it further or explore similar affirmations?
